We have a trigger "When a task is created", I guess it's the same as "When the record was open"? by "open" you mean, "the record is added/created" right?

The client fills out an application, it enters the database in the "new" status. I have, say, 3 operators who answer, while the one who first opened the card of this record launches a certain trigger that changes the status, executor, etc.
Yes, of course, you can try to use the creation trigger, but I simply cannot know which operator will be free, how can I understand how to select the operator to assign the task to?

On the other hand, it is not clear how the system can choose between online operators. Therefore, I propose a more specific trigger "on card opening".

Денис Чудинов: Got it! Thanks for explaining it in such details! I did misunderstand, by "open" you meant "opening the task page". Sounds like the real pain point is to know which operator to auto-assign task to.
